Under the flyover, over Clifton Bridge

Bridges play an important part of cycling from Sneinton thanks to our location to the North of the River Trent. None is more imposing than the massive concrete Clifton Bridge, which carries 8 lanes of traffic as the A52 crosses the river.
So it was a nice surprise to find a decent cycle track alongside the road, offering great views upstream- accessed via underpass from the back of the park-and-ride leading to a dramatic space under the Queen's Drive flyover. Gritty, urban... yes, but serene compared to the thundering mayhem of the road above.
